Abbeydale Tennis Club was 1st set up in 1929 and was one of the founder sports that formed Abbeydale Sports Club. Recently in 2008/09 The Tennis Club went through a comprehensive redevelopment and now its new facilities include 4 indoor and 4 outdoor tennis courts, plus a purpose built Kids Zone and tarmac carpark for 40+ cars. Abbeydale has added a new luxury members clubhouse, boasting a fully manned reception /caf, a licensed bar, Tennis Pro shop and is fully accessible for people with disabilities.
